UPDATE 4/24/09: Ok, it’s now a 1-day thing.  Here’s the details:

6:30-6:45 pm Leave for tour of trees
*****Tour of trees drive takes 30 minutes to get thru from start to finish once we get up there we can decided to drive it more then once*****

After we get done with tour of trees will meet up at one more spot to take a group photo with all the cars and participants. Once we all get done if you want to stay the night in this area I will have numbers for all hotels including the customer rating. Like I said this is rough draft All I will add is checkpoint locations for picture spots.

UPDATE 4/17/09:    At this time, there has not been enough interest to make closing the road a possibility.  We will still be having the cruise as planned, and the Tunnel of Trees is still on the itinerary, but I am unable to close the road.  To the few of you who did make donations, they have been refunded in full to you.  Still, we request that everyone who is intending to attend the cruise registers so that we can prepare the locations we will be stopping at to make sure they can handle our group.  I cannot wait to see everyone in May.  Thanks again for all your interest.

Oh, and we are not letting the road closure thing go.  We will do it, just not this time.

And, if you are still interested in making a donation to a local charity here, please email me and I can help you do that.  The local charities would be very pleased to see that kind of generosity.
